I am a consultant cardiologist. I have had a wide variety of senior clinical, academic and leadership roles in the NHS and scientific bodies. I have advised the NHS and government on digital innovation in healthcare.I lead the Medicine Division at West Herts NHS Trust. I am Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College. I am President Elect of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.

Background
I qualified from Oxford University in 2001 and trained in cardiology in London. I carried out specialised training and research in cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital, in cardiac CT at the London Chest Hospital, and in echocardiography at Hammersmith Hospital in London, and at Hospital Bichat in Paris. I have undertaken advanced heart failure training at Harefield Hospital.My qualifications are: MA(Oxon) BM BCh MD(Res) FRCP FESC FSCMR.I have recently participated in the ORBITA, ORBITA-2 and EVOLVED clinical trials. I am active in researching improvement in healthcare delivery including virtual wards. I regularly present at national and international meetings.

My NHS practice is at Watford Hospital and my private practice is at Spire Bushey Hospital and Bishops Wood Hospital. I see patients with the full range of adult cardiological problems and symptoms. I have special interests in valvular heart disease, heart failure, pre op assessment and cardio-oncology. I am an expert in cardiac imaging including echocardiography, stress echo, TOE, cardiac CT and cardiac MR.
